About the Role

Council has an exciting opportunity in our Finance team! This entry level full-time position aims to give a broad range of accounting experience from preparing and posting journals, completing reconciliations, fielding financial enquiries, maintaining financial schedules to monthly financial reporting and analysis, budget management and taxation compliance.

About You 

Our ideal candidate will hold a qualification in Business/Finance at Certificate 4 level or above (or currently undertaking studies). Effective time management experience in a demanding work environment, administration experience, high level organisational skills and demonstrated attention to detail are skills and qualities that will assist with your success in this role. We are looking a numbers person who can demonstrate their ability and prior experience in problem solving, with above average communication and interpersonal skills

In return for your hard work and dedication, Council is offering a competitive remuneration package circa $59,600 - $75,300 (commensurate with qualifications and experience).

The Uralla Shire local government area covers an area approximately 3,229 square kilometres and is home to a permanent resident population of around 6,048 people. The main township is Uralla, which is located 22 kilometres south of Armidale and 89 kilometres north of Tamworth on the New England Highway.
